Media Cataloger 2

15 October 2026

Today, Media Cataloger 0.0.1 is a free download, limited to one disk.

On 15 October 2026 there is one download for everyone: Mac, Windows, and Linux. The license is a file we email. You paste it once. That file lets you add a disk and look for copies. The price is published with that download.

On Mac, the app that looks like a normal Mac app does not read this file yet. The 15 October download does.

The list

The list is how you receive the 15 October file. Write to us if we already emailed you a license: the same file still works.

Features

The license file lets you add a disk and look for copies. Everything stays on your computer. How this compares with other catalogs.

Local and offline disk structure

Even disconnected, you can view the folder tree, modification dates, and sizes.

Instant disk overview

Free space at a glance.

Visualize disk space consumption

See which folders and files take up the most space, so you can decide what to keep.

File search

By name, by extension, by date, or by camera, across all catalogued drives — connected or not. The date and the camera are read while the disk is plugged in. Search still works once the disk is back in the drawer.

Duplicate file detection

Copies on the same disk or across several disks.

Customizable duplicate lists

By subject, owner, or any criteria you choose.

Unique file finder

Files that exist on only one disk.

Remove unnecessary duplicates

Free space by taking out redundant copies.

Large catalogs

A large catalog stays usable.

Cross-platform

Windows, macOS, and Linux. iOS and Android are not part of this offer.
